Zebuembryo carries out the first embryo transfer in Nigeria

In March 2025, Zebuembryo carried out the first embryo transfer in Nigeria’s history — a milestone for the country’s agricultural development.

Embryos from the Brahman, Nelore, Sindi, and Girolando breeds were transferred. Production was carried out at Zebuembryo’s laboratory in Brazil, and the transfers took place in Nigeria, conducted by our specialized technical team.

In an interview, Humberto Rosa, Zebuembryo’s International Business Director, highlights Nigeria’s potential for applying Brazilian genetics, both through artificial insemination and embryo transfer.
